The Brief

Tiro’s senior consultants have successfully delivered many large-scale new build talent projects, including Combined Heat and Power (CHP) systems and Material Recovery Facility (MRF) waste recovery initiatives. We manage all key phases, from initial construction to long-term operation.

One such project required the construction and staffing of a major city-based CHP new build in central London. The client needed key engineers for the project’s kick-off and construction phases, as well as a team to operate the plant. The CHP was essential to the entire site’s construction and future sustainable expansion.

Requirement

The project involved multi-position hiring, covering all phases from construction through to commissioning and operation, with roles including:

Lead Program Manager for CHP build
Senior Plant Site Project Manager
CHP Plant Operating Team

Talent Attraction Plan. Designed a strategic talent attraction plan, conducting market mapping to identify and confidentially approach targeted engineers from across industries.

Outcome

Six months prior to the operational phase, we began sourcing the 12 operators required for successful commissioning and long-term operation. Despite the central London location, we drew talent from a wide range of industries to build a robust team.
